What is the CTE Certificate?The Career and Technical Education (CTE) Certificate is a certificate that a student can earn in addition to their high school diploma as a way to recognize their employability and technical skills training efforts. At CHS, we honor our students who earn the certificate with a black cord for graduation.
Certificate Criteria1. Meet all requirements to earn a CHS diploma
2. Complete at least 3 courses in a single CTE program area 3. Maintain a 3.0 GPA 4. Pass a Technical Skill Assessment (TSA) and/or earn an Industry Recognized Credential (IRC) aligned with program area 5. Complete a minimum of 50 hours of work-based learning 6. Maintain at least a 95% attendance record overall 7. Demonstrate attainment of employability skills through either:
